Year 6. Unit 1. Nutrition: The respiratory system

• When we inhale, air enters trough the nostrils and goes to the pharynx.
• From here, air travels down the larynx and the trachea.
• The trachea divides into two bronchi that take air to the lungs.

Breathe in = Inhale

Breathe out = Exhale

• When we breathe in we obtain the oxygen our body needs.
• When we exhale, we expel the carbon dioxide our body produces.
